Definitly press this one. With either a screwdriver or a key, we can use Stompty's superior strength and mass to ... make a hole in something? I dunno, might have to wait for more stuff.

lights flash blah blah blah anyway you pressed the button which means you get the screwdriver if you hadn't you'd have got the key and you'd have been out of here by now but you didn't oh well you will have to find some way to use a screwdriver.

(note due to Overlord abscence I have set the game back by one day so that he can partake in all decisions)

CHOICE 25:

Strangers In Peril

Two strangers have been trapped in the rooms you have to save one but that will mean killing the other all you have to go on is their general appearance.

ROOM 1:

In Room 1 you have a young 20-something female she is conservatively dressed with a gold cross necklace carrying a bag from the top of which you see protruding a few books.

ROOM 2:

In Room 2 you have a 30-something male whose garb splattered with what looks to be blood, he carries nothing on his person that you can see.

Well ...

OK, first instinct is Room 1; presumably a studious, (sadly) religious person. Room 2 is probably some sort of murderer. I am sure that you've come up with horrifying backstories for the both of them, so whatever I choose is the wrong choice. That said, since all we have to go on is appearences I can't be held responsible for choosing on that basis.

So in the spirit of the challenge, I'll save Room 1.

ok If I said that the woman in Room 1 looks hagard and the man in Room 2 has a long 'trenchcoat' (for lack of a better word) on and walks with a limp.

Well, that's gaming the choice. Trenchcoats are awesome, but he's still probably just killed somebody before getting captured. The woman has probably stayed up late studying for whatever.

I find myself defending my choices rather than reevaluating; the power of first impressions, I guess.

CHOICE 26:

Moral Responsibility

ROOM 1:

In Room 1 you have a human who will die if you don’t open the door to Room 1 it will die

ROOM 2:

In Room 2 you have an animal one of the last breeding pair of its species if you don’t open the door to Room 2 it will die

Which is greater our moral responsibility to uphold human life or to stop a species extinction.
If I told you that this species has died out due to direct action on the part of humans (eg logging, hunting etc.) does that help?

Tricky; because I don't care to a great extent about extinction, but it's only one human vs a entire species...

Not completely sure, but I'll go with Room 1; the species is just about extinct anyway, while that human deserves a chance at life.

Re. previous choice: maybe a better word would have been 'labcoat'. I thought for a moment we'd killed that actual Doctor. Good thing brain tumours are invisible, and not pertaining to visual-only choices. Also, you were the one who locked up the doctor and woman in seperate rooms; there was no way he could have operated on her once the trial began, so it's not our fault.

I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, I'm just expressing why I don't feel guilty. You'll have to try harder to achieve that. (Ideally, you'll find a scenario where I'm still not sure if I've done the right thing even after making my choice)

I voted Room 1, by the way.
