I'm running a 7 player open setup game featuring 1 cop, 1 doc, and 3 townies against 1 roleblocker and 1 goon. All will be straightforward and free of shenanigans. If by some miracle we get to 9 players I will modify the setup to compensate.
Full roles and rules will be posted later.
- Rules:
- Talking about the game outside the thread or any other mod-provided location is forbidden.
- Do not edit or delete any posts in the thread, PM the mod if you feel this should happen.
- Role PMs will be assigned randomly, and posted verbatim in the first post.
- The game begins in the Night 0 phase, and the mafia may discuss strategy in their quicktopic.
- No Night actions may be submitted in this time, though all players should confirm they received their role.
- Once this is complete, the Day phase begins where players may discuss the game in the thread.
- The Day phase will last up to one week, though this may be extended if the mod feels it necessary.
- During the Day, mafia may not communicate in secret, but all players may vote for a lynch.
- Votes and Unvotes must be bolded and in the form Vote: Alex Steiner, or Unvote.
- A lynch occurs as soon as one player receives the majority of votes, and that player is now dead.
- A player may not change votes once a lynch has occured, nor vote for their own lynch in any case.
- Players may not speak in or about the game once they are dead.
- The role of a dead player will be posted in the thread by the mod, and the Night begins immediately.
- If no player is lynched beforehand, the Night phase will begin at deadline.
- By default the Night phase will last for 48 hours, but may be extended or reduced as required.
- During this phase, Mafia players may discuss the game in their topic, and decide on a kill.
- All players should submit their Night Actions to the mod via PM before the Night deadline.
- The last action submitted before deadline is the one accepted, or No Action if none is received.
- At the end of the Night, any deaths will be revealed, and the next Day phase will begin.
- The game ends when the last Mafioso is lynched, or the mafia control at least half of the votes in play.
- Players are expected to post at least once every 48 hours, and will be prodded if they fail to do so.
- For prodding purposes, weekends count as 24 hours, Night phases are discounted entirely.
- If a player receives too many prods, or fails to resume posting, they will be modkilled and revealed.

- Vanilla Townie:
- You are a Vanilla Townie. You do not know who to trust, but you know that mafia have infiltrated your town.
During the Day you may vote for a lynch.
You have no actions to take an Night, so sleep soundly.
You win when all mafia members are dead.
- Town Cop:
- You are a Town Cop. You do not know who to trust, but you know that mafia have infiltrated your town.
During the Day you may vote for a lynch.
Each Night you may select one player to investigate. You will find out if they are mafia or not.
You win when all mafia members are dead.
- Town Doctor:
- You are a Town Doctor. You do not know who to trust, but you know that mafia have infiltrated your town.
During the Day you may vote for a lynch.
Each Night you may select one player to protect. They will be immune to mafia killing during that Night.
You win when all mafia members are dead.
- Mafia Goon:
You are a Mafia Goon. Your partner is the Mafia Roleblocker [NAME].
During the Day you may vote for a lynch.
During the Night you may communicate with [NAME] here. In that topic you should discuss how best to subvert the town.
Each Night you or [NAME] may select one player to shoot. Either one of you may make the kill.
You win when you and [NAME] control half of the votes in play (enough to prevent your team from being lynched).
- Mafia Roleblocker:
- You are a Mafia Roleblocker. Your partner is the Mafia Goon [NAME].
During the Day you may vote for a lynch.
During the Night you may communicate with [NAME] here. In that topic you should discuss how best to subvert the town.
Each Night you or [NAME] may select one player to shoot. Either one of you may make the kill.
Additionally, each Night you may select one player to roleblock. If they have a Night action, they will be prevented from using it.
You win when you and [NAME] control half of the votes in play (enough to prevent your team from being lynched).

By 'modify' you mean 'add two VTs', right?
And awesome, should be fun to do just scumhunting rather than it being all about roles.

uhhh....... I think I'll mandatory /in however if we get 8 players I might drop out. I have a Resplect project that I've been working on for a while that I want to spend some time on.

The problem is that timestamps aren't shown in full until 2 days later, making life harder.
