1. Forum Colour. Absolute basics! I will be recreating this forum and the first thing will be choosing a theme.
Pick your colours! pick as many as you would be happy with but only expect me to use 2-3. I will be basing the whole forum (Pictures and all) of these colours so its important for this be gotten out of the way.

2. Resplect Logo. I can create it from scratch or cheat and use a logo site, I want to know what you think it should look like it. (P.S I also want to know what Resplect is...)
2.1. Since fists are out of the question, the word Replect will be in the logo. Does the group have a specific saying? for ex. 'All for one, One for all'. I could add it in.

3. Editing the buttons, quick easy and painless, if you want to help with the design of the buttons (please help... or you will get stuck with the ones i put in for funzies) go to this website http://cooltext.com/ and pick out some designs for me

I made my own forum while waiting to get admin rights, turns out it should be really simple to do basic stuff, although I may use up a few mb of storage.
Is there an image hosting website that is not blocked by the Queensland education department or your schools?

Well, I'll answer the easy question.

Resplect in its current form/s is the action of touching knuckles or pounding fists, while saying "Resplect". It's a parody of several similar items. It has spawned several variations: resplect in transit if done as you pass each other; Owen's resplect if you spend several seconds punching the other fist as hard as you can; awkward resplect if done in a awkward position. Credit goes to Darth for making it ubiquitous, by bullying teachers and randoms into doing it. The word itself apparently comes from a Discworld book, as well as the obvious corruption of respect.

Was suggested as a name of this forum along with several other in jokes (see the forum name suggestions thread), and was chosen as the name because of it's uniqueness (it's definitely this forum when you google it), as well as its (TBH) non-nerdy sounding name and short name. It now means both this forum and the aforementioned action.

As for a logo? I have no idea. We don't have any form of mascot, and having fists would give the wrong impression.

Colours? Something distinctive, but aesthetically pleasing? It's there but you don't notice it all the time. Or something not distinctive (can't think of an antonym), but still looks good? I'm against background images (but can probably be persuaded by something subtle). Nothing like this in the background. I'd probably prefer dark text on a light background as well.

But I have no eye for this sort of thing.

Lol. Astronomy for kids? I'm with alex. With the sufferance being that I enjoy dark backgrounds and light text. But that's prob just me. Not red. Not orange or any kind of yellow. Otherwise I'm fine with colours

It's there but you don't notice it all the time.

So you just want me to edit a few basics... what you have now is exactly that. Nothing that goes WOW! look at that! and it doesnt look that bad.

I'll edit a bunch of buttons add some sections in, but it seems like everyone is pretty happy with the way things are.

OK, fair enough.

The banner is too happy. Far too happy.

Also, use transparency on it (if you open the current banner by right clicking, you can see it). That way you can do the background separately, and it's far easier to change the colours. I used GIMP, if that's important.

Once the banner is decided, put it in the gallery. That way it's hosted onsite.

LOL! Finally I see why it was so fricken hard to edit stuff on this forum. This is Phpbb 3... looks a lot cleaner than 2 but is not as editable.

phpBB3 was the default, and since it's newer I went with that.

It's easy to change, but I don't know the exact differences.

That is better , but I'm not sure if banners a really necessary. What do they add? I support text sigs, but pictures tend to detract from the content.

Either way, I WANT INPUT FROM MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE!!1!1!

Oh, and in case you hadn't noticed, if I have "1"s in my "!" it means mock anger or excitement, not actual anger.

I can change it, but I'm worried that because everyone is so used to the cleanliness of the current forum that I would be wasting my time.

Phpbb2 by default doesn't have rounded edges on anything...

The Banner? Because I want people to go OMG he is a 'Forum Operator'.
