Keep this in mind, Sid; if you can't post something meaningful with the ample content you now have, your 'generally considered townish' status will be in danger.Reverse Simplicity wrote:You are not out of the woods yet.Sid_The_Kid wrote:yet who is scum? ... SO or RS? ...

Hey, Reverse, want to vote Sid?
Mod: I'm on my usual weekend V/LA, but I won't be back until Tuesday at the earliest. If (and only if) this will conflisct with a deadline I'd like to Vote: Reverse An extension would be preferable; where is Sid?

I'm not sure if I want to vote sid, I was really hoping he would have posted by now.
So far you have explained the things I found scummy and you explanation for voting me did make sense.
Still... I can't vote Sid with so little activity... maybe that was his plan all along?

Re: FiLlEr Mafia
Not necessarily better conclusions, but conclusions full stop. Alex didn't get to say much, I already know my own opinions and Reverse has had a chance to talk, so I need your input to help me decide whether to vote for you or Reverse.Sid wrote:Just curious as to what makes you beleive that i would draw better conclusions, from the information given, than those already given

In my experience, games (especially with a small number of players) tend to stagnate. I'm going to try to keep this game moving along as much as I can.Sid wrote:what is with the leading role you seem to be playing throughout this game ... why do you seem to want to control the flow of the game?
As for controlling the flow of the game:
Day 1 I had (what I thought was) a decent plan and there wasn't really any opposition to it, so I went ahead with that, and in doing so, encouraged everyone else to as well.
Day 2, well, getting lynched loses the game for me regardless of alignment, so I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it's one of you two that gets lynched. Also, earlier today Reverse voted for me; that was death sentence for my team is you were scum, so it makes sense that I should try to 'move the flow of the game' to get Reverse to unvote.
Reverse, what's your opinion on how voting should go? I think Sid should wait for your response, then vote for one of us. The person voted for should then OMGUS back, and the remaining player should then (if scum) win or (if town) decide. I think this is this best plan as our opinions are already out there and we've just been waiting on Sid. Your thoughts?

Just dropping in, really sorry for lack of play in the past few days, I had to move and only just got access to internet. Tomorrow I will be able to read through it and reply.

So far I am good with that, I definitely would like to respond to the wall of texts that makes my eyes bleed

Re: FiLlEr Mafia
The question was directed specifically at you, the long version of my question could have been "Why is missing the cross vote important to you?" Thanks for the answer, I still reserve the right to question your statements, that is one way I go about finding scum.Sid_The_Kid wrote:everything has an importance .... this is a game of reading between the lines ... experienced player such as youself should know this naturally ... yet you question the importance of some of my statements ... i do as is required .... voicing my opinions ... a cross vote is opportunity for both sides of the coin .... town can lynch the scum if the scum is decipherable whilst the scum would just lynch either one since it would be a town on town scenario
I do not believe you are safe, no one is safe. So far the scummy acts you have done are: Ghost the game, and a couple of miss placed statements, they could be referred to as scum slips or newbie mistakes. The reason I voted SO over you can be found in my many previous posts.Sid_The_Kid wrote:No one is out of the woods yet .... we're all still in the thick of it ... yet you seem so sure that i believe i'm safe .... two experienced players and a newbie .... the newbie could easily become the target of a manipulative attack ... although scummie actions could be masked but what could be seen as mentored
The start of a new day is not a fresh start. No no no no. Just no. "Taking the back seat" avoids being targeted, it hiding. Back seat scum are less likely to make a mistake, be asked confusing questions or be wagon'd. I am not sure what way I am going, but you have to read into the whole game (Sometimes 4-5 times) so that you can make an informed decision on who you decide is scum/town. SO has not in any way been inactive, he has replied to every post I have directed at him with ease. This is also a scum move, leading the town or being "Too town" sometimes is an indication of scum.Sid_The_Kid wrote:Why such a emphasis on the inactivity of SO and myself ... what advantage does scum have to taking a backseat in such a forum? Still not voting, now I am unsure who to vote for. SO appears to be letting day 2 ride on Sids back, and Sid seems fairly happy with this.

Re: FiLlEr Mafia
RS ... i can see exactly how you could be doubting who is scum ... i'm having a bit of trouble with all that i seem to find scummy yet can be explained as town ... or seeing someone as town then finding strong evidence against that and visa versa...
rereading the game so far has cleared up some questions i had ... although there is allot more confusion ...
SO ... looking back in hindsight what would've AS had to do to change your stance on him ... you seemed quite sure that he was scum ... yet you were "trying to get him to talk" ... from where i'm looking, in hindsight, you had AS in a situation where he was guilty no matter what...

Re: FiLlEr Mafia
Alex was not so much 'guilty no matter what' as 'as good as dead' with the first semi-serious vote of the game (Reverse's); I wanted to get him to L-1 as quickly as possible in order to get him to talk, then the deadline hit.
He would probably have had to responded vigorously to Reverse's accusations and hit back quickly to force another lynch under those circumstances.
I'm not unhappy with that lynch, per se, just the short time we had to do it in. We could afford to lose a townie Day 1, and with Reverse's quite strong early accusations Alex was probably the best info-lynch Day 1 (at least in my opinion; Reverse would probably have been a close second).
Sid, after Reverse answers your questions, I'm expecting you to vote.

Re: FiLlEr Mafia
Dammit.
Sid, how did Reverse convince you?
Reverse, I was still probably going to vote for you (well, I would have cross-voted Sid, but if he'd voted you I would have hammered instantly). What was your reason for voting me so quickly Day 2? (Was it my first reaction; you thought Sid would be easier to manipulate?)
Thanks for the game, Eggs; we'll have to see if Darth's around enough for a 5-player + mod (although I'll be on holidays soon; might have to take a break).

At that point it didn't really matter if we cross voted or not. It was still completely up to Sid.
You had me the whole time, the same excuse I had for focussing you. It was unlikely the newbie was scum.
